Had he ever met an elite fighter at 147 (Cotto, Margarito, Clottey), he would have been annihilated. At 140, he beat Kostya Tszyu in a fight I've never liked due to Hatton's mauling style, and the fact he got away with things he would've never gotten away with anywhere else. His KO of Castillo was impressive, in that it was a one-punch body shot. But other than that, his resume has never said top 10 p4p to me.
Mayweather is better than Cotto, Marg and Clottey all put together. So how can you say "Had he ever met an elite fighter at 147"?
Are you on "crack"? Mayweather's elite... just not at 147. What part of that don't you understand? This is boxing. You can be great at one weight and not at another. Again... Hatton never met an elite 147-pound fighter.

He fought and outpointed the linear undisputed world welterweight champion in Carlos Baldimor and defeated the previous undisputed world welterweight champion in Zab Judah what more do you want
