I saw this video on youtube from a gym called Crazy Monkey Defense. The video is very interesting, in the sense that the Jab is thrown with the twist of the hip, like say a Cross or Left Hook. The Jab that this guy throws is like the same hip rotation as a Left Hook (like twisting on the ball of the left foot), which gives enough torque to the right hip to throw a mean Cross.
It is certainly a little different than the "straight" (as in no hip rotation) Jab followed by the Cross. I think it would be great to use on an Inside Fighter who moves in to punch inside. However, if you move in with it, you have to move forward while simultaneously twisting your left hip to the right to land the Jab. What are your guys' thoughts?
