Then the rest of the article is selling you on Amir Khan, "great athlete, keeps up with manny, my next superstar, ect."

Also Pacquiao probably isn't top 5 at 147 either but the talent is there so he's rated 1 on the P4P list. I think Roach was just alluding to the fact that Kessler, Abraham and Ward are all very talented guys who potentially could justify that ranking.
No, Kessler & Abraham maybe but even that is doubtful. But beating Edison Miranda in a not particularly impressive performance for me doesn't do it. I know you're a fan but you can't justify him being the 8th best fighter in the world, when some don't even consider him among the best 8 fighters at SMW (not me, but I know people who don't).

Also Pacquiao IS #1 at 140. Abraham isn't anything at 168, but at MW, he was certainly the #2 guy, some might argue the best at the weight.

Valero has 25 wins, but he has not beaten a single credible opponent worthy of ranking him as the 4th best fighter on the planet.

I think only 4 fighters on there (PBF, Pac, JMM & Shane) could actually be said to be definitively among the best 10 boxers on the planet.
