Kessler may be considered the number 1 guy but he doesn't have a Ring belt to his name and his biggest win in the past couple years has been the Calzaghe loss. He has just as much to prove as the other guys in the tournament, Marquez wouldn't.

I agree JMM doesn't need to be in the tourney. He has options at other weights, whilst Nate, Juan Diaz & Casa have all left the weightclass so for me it would be

I think out of that either Soto or Guzman win it.

If JMM is not there the Peterson is a good replacement
It would be a toss up for me between DeMarco & Peterson

I think you'd need Peterson just to give it a bit of American interest.
