I make that questionable claim knowing full well the the IBO title does not mean a thing, i just happened to notice that no one else has knocked out Roy Jones jr in the first round before!
It appears to me that some people have their nose out of joint because Green has spoilt the rematch with Hopkins?
Give the guy his due, he has Knocked out a legend, who up until this week was good enough to fight Hopkins again next March, Green has screwed up in the past, he had a brain fade against Beyer and lost by DQ, he then loses to Mundine by UD in an ordinary performance. He has come back well and adjusted. He deserves a mega fight. I think Hopkins might be a little scared of Danny Green
Green deserves as much credit as Trevor Berbick did for stopping Ali. I mean damn. Berbick retired the Greatest. Look back at my post regarding this fight. While I expected Jones to win, I did state Green stopping him was not out of the question. I recognize Green's power as being legit. But lets not get carried away. To suggest Hopkins might have any type of fear of Green boarders on straight stupidity. I mean come on now. The man fought Pavlik when everybody set he should stay away from him. He bashed Trinidad when everybody expected him to get bashed. Against his handlers advice he jumped 2 weight classes to face (at the time) the top Light Heavyweight in the world Antonio Tarver. Now he's suppose to have fear of Danny Green? The same Danny Green who mailed it in against Anthony Mundine?
