VOA | Obama Meets with Top Advisers on Korea Situation | News | English

The U.S. State Department on Tuesday called the attack an "unprovoked military assault," and said the Obama administration is planning a "measured and unified" response, working with China and other nations in the six-party talks on North Korea's nuclear program.
I would never underestimate an unpopular president's ease of going to war. There is nothing that stimulates the economy quicker or gathers the nation under leadership.
I don't know why but that picture made me laugh. I know he's trying to project a confident and open pose with his leg crossed high over the other one. But we know that if that was George Bush he'd have just stuck his cowboy bots up on the table, spurs a spinning and it would have been a much more comforting image for the Americans who want a strong gun ho leader.

I'm wondering what Miles stance will be on this if they do attack North Korea? I mean he'll be itching to condemn yet another act of aggression by the yanks out to preserve their interests. Only this time they will be coming to save HIM and his little country of South Korea.

What say you Miles? Are you against America flexing their muscle to make the NK's leave you alone?
I think randomly firing rockets on a soveriegn nation is perfectly good grounds for regime change, but that would also mean regime change in Israel, the US and countless others. Sure, I do think it would be good to remove the N Korean regime, I couldn't try to defend it. However, you also have to consider what it will be replaced with and that is always cause for concern when the US gets involved in these kinds of things, because their only motivation is finding ways for their multinationals to get a foot in, the interests of the indigenous population always come last.
