Regret nothing about asking and delving into different perspectives. Rather hash it out prior then jump in clueless....or turn around 20 yrs from now and say woulda, coulda, shoulda. Be honest with yourself and family and the only thing worse then failure is not trying to succeed in the first place, and if that means joining or means you decide not to, its you who will have to live with it. Got to say its not totally the case to think Navy doesn't see frontlines as today your front line could be just driving down the road. My Father went in Navy way back rather then Marine or Reg Army and next thing he knew was flying dust off with both off the ship as a door gunner. Sometimes they grab the pieces where they fit then and now. Not to mention the EOD techs
