Back in the day boxing was simpler. If the ref didn't call a foul (and in this case he didn't) you continued or you lost. I saw Gil Clancy interviewed on this once and his attitude was yeah my guy got hit low, but he was pretty near the end of his rope anyway.

I have NO idea why there wasn't a rematch. The MSG crowd loved Buchanan and it would have sold out without question.
