I do think PEDs are a lot more rampant in boxing than what people want to believe or willing to accept. But with Ortiz I think a lot of his success was from being in the right weight class. He was cutting way too much weight for 140. The guy could easily fight at 154 and not be at a size disadvantage. Plus, Berto was never what he thought he was. I don't think anyone saw him as a heavy favorite against Ortiz. Most probably saw it as a 50/50 fight. I think Berto went about this wrong. If he knows something then say it straight out. If you imply you know or think something and don't have anything to back it up with then you look silly and sour. Personally, I only saw an Ortiz that was not weight drained. He wasn't quicker, more powerful, or granite chinned. He was just fresher which a lot of times comes with cutting weight better or cutting less weight.
