Alright, time to ice up the beer, and get the popcorn popping, the fights start in about 90 minutes.

Really very suprised its so quite about this fight...

I like Mares, alot. Don't know a great deal about Agbeko though to be honest, all I heard is he kinda rough housed Darchynian? but then outboxed Perez? Aber finds himself in close fights, I feel he has the skills to win more comfortably, but he's got that warriors attitude.
    I'm excited.

Fights start in about 25 minutes, Agbeko (King Kong) is a good fighter, i'm expecting a very competitive fight that could go either way, it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

    cheers

Is that the televised card or the main event?

Agbeko vs. Mares is the main event, i'm sure how much of the other fights Showtime is going to show, if any.

Yeh gotta agree Luke, this is a huge fight as is the tourney.

I think Agbeko has really transformed from the face first steamroller who battered Luis Perez and fought in a ugly cave man fight in 1st defense with William Gonzalez. He really was overlooked going in vs Vic...and then schooled him, scores in 1st Perez fight didn't do either guy justice in a nice scrap...flip a coin really, then was a boxing fool in rematch. I think his weight and health issue can be concerning...Mares body attack will be telling if Agbeko isn't smart. This is a great match up

Can we sticky this bad boy btw

Ive stalked the forum enough to know your high on Agbeko .
Thing is if Agbeko win's I wouldnt have a problem with him going against Donaire straight away( I wouldnt favour him but he's a tough cookie). If Mares comes out on top I dont think he's ready yet...
