    My main problem with that theory is that if you're putting them onto an island with no resources you're drawing out their pain, and they will survive in a very basic way for weeks, maybe even months, but it would still be a death sentence if you're preventing them from swimming back to the mainland.

    If we are going to kill them, at least make it quick and don't pretend that it wasn't us that pulled the trigger by putting them on such an island.

    How about sending them to the moon with oxygen tanks and a huge pipe sending up bags of monster munch? Harmless enough, we could simply stop giving aid to Pakistan and use the money for the crisps and equipment. Problem solved. Clearly they would have to build their own houses as there is no council housing on the moon.

    Instead of Monster Munch maybe Space Raiders? There is a recession on after all.
