I've never seen any of the documentaries in this thread.

You would thuroughly enjoy them ICB...not just for the fight coverage but the insight on these guys personal lives...you really learn why boxing got the name of "Poor mans sport"...

Im just downloading Duran beyond the glory, i'll start with that one and then watch the others. Jeez i certainly would be missing out on a lot if i didn't come on this thread.

The 3 CMM said are all great, especially 'Ring Of Fire', sorry WelshdevilRob but i did not think the joe calzaghe doc. was that good. I'd love to see a Johnny Tapia doc., his book is great but i'd like to see the story retold in a doc. so we could see interviews with Tapia and his family. I haven't seen that B-HOP doc., i'll keep my eyes peeled for it.

Now I'm just gonna post all the ones I've seen and what I thought about them.
In no particular order.

I've seen;
Paulie Malignaggi - Magic Man (I actually liked it and was enternaning but more so because of the way Paulie is)
Amir Khan - His Story So Far (It was decent, I mean there still so much to his career. But it was a good watch)
Chris Eubank - When Lous met Chris Eubank (Quickly became one of my fav. to see. I really enjoyed watching this)
Emile Griffith - Behind the Fights (Takes you into specific fights and gives you details of each event. Really liked this one)
Floyd Mayweather Jr - Soul of a Champion (Short and to the point. But it's worth the watch)
George Foreman - A&E Biography (Some insightful info. I did not know prior to watching this)
Jack Dempsey - Sports Century (It's good, gives you some footage and history on the guy)
Henry Armstrong - In this corner (Short but worth the watch)
Jack Johnson - In this corner (Short but worth the watch. Unless you've seen Unforgivable Blackness... lol)
Jake LaMotta - Fights of Jake LaMotta (An insightful look at some of his most memorable fights)
Joe Louis - Boxings Best, A&E Biography & Americas Hero:Betrayed (All good. The 1st one is more of his fights, the 2nd & 3rd are more about his life in and out of the ring)
Johnny Owen - The Long Journey (An outstanding doc. can't help it but get misty eyed. Finally saw part of the fight between Pintor and Owen and that horrible moment in the fight. )
Kostya Tszyu - Destiny (Really enjoyed this and anyone who says Tszyu was average or Tszyu was/is lucky for the type of career he had. Watch this doc. comeback and I dare you to say the same things. He was a beast during training. Remember your as good in the ring as you are during your training)
Lennox Lewis - The Undisputed Truth (Good doc. overall and a must see for any Lennox fan)
Lightweights - Legends (Takes you thru footage of some of the best Lightweights all time. Really good doc. with some awesome highlights)
Marvin Hagler - Sports Century (A really good documentary. Takes you thru the best of his career and the aftermath of his final bout)
Mike Tyson - Tyson (Very well done doc. no bullshit no gimmicks. Just Tyson) Have also seen Chronicles, The Right Stuff & Bad Intentions
Muhammad Ali - Ali in '65, Ali's Rap, A&E Bio (All really good. I enjoyed Ali in '65 because I felt it sucked me right in from the start)
Naseem Hamed - Little Prince, Big Fight (Come on, this is probably one of the most entertaining docs. to see. From begining to end it's just great. From Naz to his pillow biter of a brother Riat (I think is his name) who hates Vegas because of the "fornication" and shit that goes on there. To his other brother who comes in front of the camera and says "Can you believe the commision wanted to inspect Naz gloves because they did not believe he had that much power. But it's all because Allah gave him power" to Lennox and him talking about Naz comeback fight after MAB moped the ring with him)
Oscar De La Hoya - A&E Bio (Really good and I liked it more the his BTG doc)
Ray Mancini - Triumph & Tragedy (Throat lumps up on this one too. Well done doc and learned a lout about Boom Boom)
Rocky Marciano - Sport Century (A must see for any boxing fan of one of boxings most talked about fighters)
Rocky Graziano - Fights of Rocky Graziano (It's worth the watch even if your not a fan. You learn about Rocky and his memorable bouts)
Roy Jones Jr. - The Sweet Science (A good watch and you'll def. enjoy it as RJJ breaks things down with his amazing skills) Also The Rise of Roy Jones Junior. Both really good)
Sugar Ray Robinson - Bright Lights, Dark Shadows (One of the best docs. and a must see for any one period. Fan of boxing or not. An in depth look at argueably the sports greatest) Also seen In This Corner & Pound for Pound.
Wilfredo Gomez - Bazooka:The Battles of Wilfredo Gomez (An great doc. that just takes you thru time by the hand and words of Wilfredo himself)
80's Olympic Boxing - (A rare look at the 80's Olympic boxing team which is considered by many as the greatest team ever. At look at future champions & HoF's before turning pro)
Assault In The Ring "Billy Collins vs. Luis Resto (A shocking doc. which takes you back in time to that tragic night. Seeing Panama made my stomach turn and hearing him talk made me wanna kick his fat ass)
Champions Forever - The Latin Legends (One of the best doc. to see. Some profiles are a bit shorter than others but still a treat to see)
Champions Forever - World Heavyweight Champs (Similar to the Latin Legends one. but def. an outstanding doc. and must see)
The Greatest Champions - Light Heavyweights (A well done doc. that talks about some of the best title bouts in the LHW division. Insightful and entertaining)

I've got a good one about Don King too, it's done by Jack Newfield. I'm not sure what the official title of it is, when I downloaded it it was called "Don King: Unauthorised." It's only about 40 minutes, but it's a good watch.

Ya there are a lot of great docs in there, Mick's list. And among them a serious look at the dark underbelly in Assault in the Ring. I think it is important for anyone learning the sport, wanting to be a part of it to see that. A must even. Some unfortunate realities to this world of boxing.

I saw a BBC one about Don King years ago about his corruption and double standards and getting money from South Africa when there was apartheid. He was flummoxed by the reporter.
