Nothing like a little elitist snobbery to prove a point. Come on booze most boxing fans couldn't be legitimate boxers much like most fans couldn't be a legitimate professional at just about any sport they enjoy watching.
No, most boxing fans could not be legitimate boxers. However, many train for these MMA sports believing they have a real shot at something. I think this is mainly due to relative new birth of sport.
I completely stand by my statement that it appeals to lower socioeconomic classes (and which doesn't necessarily mean it is bad in and of itself).
