We were in New York CIty for a long weekend (great city) and left the day before the earthquake. WE've been watching the news about Irene since then thinking we got out just in time!

....That stuff is bad for you, damn Chinese restaurants!

Went to a Chinese restaurent two night running in New York ...... first night was fine, but the second night the pound had really dropped against the dollar and the meal was more expensive. The waiter saw me fiddling around with the bill and asked me what was wrong. I said 'fluctuations' ............. he screamed at me "You pay now. and fluck you Blitish too"
