Me too, love it.
Reason i put this here is because I read the comments under the whole fight on utube and its 50/50 and many are calling others out and all that crap, but Floyds fans of course see it different than his detractors. Still there are real fight fans who dont give a fuck who wins (may the best man win) and they are slightly split on it too it seems.
I see Floyd hitting air with most of the high jabs or checked on Castillos gloves and all but two body jabs are checked by Castillo either moving back already bodily or caught by the elbow. I see him as the aggressor and I see him counter with harder shots on two different close engagements between the two.
I do see Floyd as more skillful and fluid in movement being evasive under attack, but Castillo scores the harder connecting shots and he is the champion defending and he is the hunter in the fight.
And good on you all for having the balls to put your calls on the line.
For the record, Floyd fought with an injured shoulder and still fought close enough to get the benefit of a doubt..
Yep, makes no difference at all but I just wanted to point out the fact that Floyd fought well through adversity which goes unnoticed when speaking of this bout. Castillo deserves all the praise but at the same time, I think he fought as well as he did due to FLoyd's injured shoulders.. He was basically fighting a 70% of Floyd and the rematch proved just that.. If castillo somehow had Floyd's number and knew how to fight him, then the rematch should have been just as competitive but it wasn't even close so I think the first fight had more to do with Floyd's injury more than anything else.
BTW I saw your scorecard and it's more than respectable..
I did yesterday 112 /114 Castillo.
My old man recons the same he is 84 and been around alot of rings since his teens he doesnt care who he is watching he just takes every fight right at face value .
Funny after fights he asks who they are and what they have done![]()
I dont want to come across as an arse because you seen a decent enough chap Andre, but what has the bit in bold got to do with anything? Whenever I hear anything about that sort of way of scoring a fight (youve got to take the title from the champ sort of chat) I have to call in to question the opinion of the scorer. What has Castillo being the champ got to do with anything in scoring the fight. The belt is vacant upon the first bell sounding.

The reason I wrote it is because the people who are siding with Floyd specially on utube over the whole fight, seem to consider him the champion here and so he can coast. He came for the title not the other way around. It doesnt effect my scoring I wouldnt give the nod just for it either; its a comment covering what makes up a small percentage of how people think though.
I scored it Castillio one clean hard professional style hit more than Floyd on this round, fuck the dancing.![]()
I've still had to watch it a number of times cause you think ohh maybe Ive missed something therebut I have him in front, every time Ive watched it even using the pause button to see if theres decent contact.. but hey that just me.
Its funny because the top comment on one of the series in this fight on uutbe says Anyone who scores round three for Castillio doesnt know shit about boxing and it has the most thumbs up of all comments.
Got me thinking, (these are fan boys posting) but not always, its fascinating just how wide some other people see things!
Thought here was a good place to test the water without emotion or fanaticism.
It really is unfair if a round that looks like a draw is given to the boxer because he is the champion. But this is how they do it in boxing, isn't it? You have to beat the champ to be the champ because in a draw the defending champion retains the belt. So the belt being vacant upon the first bell sounding does not apply.

True.the challenger doesnt exactly have to knock out the champion to win but he must be very convincing to get the benefit of the scoring.
