He was far too cocky and arrogant for my liking but ever since that loss I think he has redeemed himself in terms of getting his career back together. If you really think khan should take a backwards step against a fighter who has proved he's limited and lost three out of 6 fights showing that he's not khans league with his performances than fair enough that's your opinion. I just personally don't see how any fighter can lose three out of six fighters than get a shot at the belt and that's not trying to be protective over khan. As I said before he had a full on war with the number two 140 fighter who IMO is more powerful and dangerous than Prescott. If anything he deserves a rematch against khan for beating Morales and he actually brings something to the table...A WORLD TITLE!!! Are you telling me at this stage of both Maidana and Prescotts career that Prescott is more of a threat than Maidana? If you believe he is with Prescotts previous performances than you are stupid! Maidana Deserves the rematch in that he's a champion and had fight of the year with khan, Prescott however has done nothing but reduce his stock since that fight and that's my point. As I have said in previous points if Prescott got through the mcclosky test even though he's lost two prior he would have had a greater chance in landing a khan fight, even though it was close did he win? No lost and that's the bottom line. If Prescott was a champion and actually brought a title to the table or had continued knocking out people I would have liked to have seen khan fight him, this however isn't the case and khan is a better boxer than Mitchell and mcclosky. And you can throw out the khan got KTFO in 54 seconds card, but Mitchell also got KTFO against Katsidis showing that he could be a bit chinny, but did he no because it proved khan had an off night against a fighter who is beatable. Khan has moved on from this and in my view I really couldn't be bothered seeing it again. Bring on Maidana again IMO, he really deserves the rematch
    Con doesn't want Maidana either
Regardless who Khan fights certain people on here will never give him credit for what he does in the ring, hell he could KO Mayweather and and still get shit from VD for not re-matching Prescott.
Only a lust filled groupie would give Con credit for knocking out Jeff Mayweather

So why not just fight Prescott instead? Khan is such a hoax really. His 'best' wins are over fighters a decade past their prime (and dodgy results both times) and over someone who took his head off and similarly will probably never get a rematch.

Khan is nonsense. "Let's fight Peterson coz Mayweather who is a weight class up is clearly ducking me!". Twit.

Partly, yes. And to disown the Barrera win. And to rematch Maidana. And to stop spouting nonsense about Mayweather ducking him despite having never fought at 147 before. Khan is off his rocker.

He has fast hands and an extremely low IQ, but I do still have a hard time taking him seriously.

I'd say his biggest win was against Maidana, who recently beat the man going in against Floyd. And some people give Ortiz a chance Yes he got rocked by him, but he didnt go down, and he won FOTY.
At the time was Maidana not rated the toughest available opponent?

Peterson deserves a shot more than Prescott. He did what he needed to do and won the elimination. How does Prescott deserve a shot at khan when he just lost? You cant lose and fight for a title IMO. As I said before I wouldn't mind the fight happening if Prescott offered more to the table, like a world title or a win over a top ranked fighter. Prescott has wasted that opportunity now, it's his own fault. He needs to forget khan now cos he will never fight him again. No doubt it is a blip in khans career, but he's past it. Time to move on I think and watch him fight top ranked fighters in the future, not some coloumbian who got lucky against a fully arrogant amir khan. If anything Khan should thank Prescott for knocking him out because it sorted his career out and look what khan has now the best trainer and the opportunity to have a great career he might not have had Roche if he got through Prescott.

Yes I understand what you mean, fully. As I have said before khan should of had this fight 2-3 fights ago when Prescott hadn't gone on this losing streak. As I have said before you can't be losing and getting world title fights. Peterson won his elimination fight, therefore he deserves the shot. Prescott lost he doesn't.

This has ended up a Khan v Prescott thread. Khan does not have to fight Prescott, Haye did not try and get a re-match with Carl Thompson as Haye went on to bigger and better things. Khan would be firm favourite to beat Prescott so stop making a big deal about it as it really is a non-issue. People would criticise Khan for fighting Prescott who has been beaten by fighters can has beaten already.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
