I see nothing wrong if Larry likes a tipple sometimes on a big night. For instance you know it's gonna be a Mayweather fight and less than exciting and so you have a couple of gin and tonics. No big deal. Larry is old, let him have his little fun.

I love Larry Merchant. He says some funny shit sometimes, and is always honest!!!
He has had some truly great comments over the years. He might be slow, but what he says is usually witty and worth the wait.

so what if he takes a drink before the event to loosen him up...he deserves it.
