Honk honk...so much for that. Gomez is a sponge for bodywork

This is like throwing wet dirt at a tank. Alvarez has big holes but Gomez cannot make him blink

Stop listening to the announcers and look closer Gomez won that 2nd round.

Gomez is making alvarez work. I thought alvarez was going to have it all his own way.

Not really mate. It's only the blind hating of Alfonso that makes everyone think he's crap.

I've been saying for week's he'd beat him.

He's a solid fighter. You don't beat Gatti, Castill and Litzou if you can't fight.

I meant the fight mate, i've always liked Gomez and thought he was underrated.

I like Gomez a lot, but Gatti and Castillo were walking corpses when he fought them, and Karass (who I assume you mean instead of Litzou) is just a decent, but not great, fighter.

No defensive effort on either part.
To compare a 20 yr old Alvarez to a 20 yr old Chavez (sr) is asinine. Nor does he compare to an 18 year old barrera, nor does he compare to an 18 yr old Cesar Soto.

That was an atrocious stoppage. Among the worst I have ever seen.

    That is robbery.

Bullshit premature stoppage. Utter horsecrap and typical nonsense for a hype job who is expected to win. You aren't allowed to get hurt in a fight?

I can't understand a fooking word this shreiking banshee is saying (sounds like he's making Gomez sound like Frazier in 4th though) but Gomez cannot break wind, its known

I expect what he did 1st half with Soto-Karass good hand and boxing but he'll stand eventually, he'll absorb and unless Alvarez is a media creation I think he takes Gomez to the body

Alvarez did what he needed to do. He can mix it with any 154 fighter, he is only 21 and needs more fights. He would beat kirkland no problems...imagine Angulo - Alvarez
