damn straight, should have just been inducted in Saturday night in the ring, IMO not only did he make history, he also jumped ahead of Barrera in terms of greatness, not downplaying Marco's accomplishments at all but lets face it both of them are linked forever
Because he beat Cano This makes no sense. I hope you're not actually crediting this joke title for anything. It's Tim Bradley's belt and even if it wasn't there's absolutely no reason this fight should have been for it anyway. All he did is beat Cano, whom no one rated. Doesn't help or hurt his legacy one bit, IMO.

it's not his fault that Matthyse pulled out of the fight due to illness, let's just keep that in mind, Morales at 35 yrs of age, after all of the battles he's been in, was still willing to go through having to face the hard punching Argentinian, for that alone he deserves credit and it only goes on to show you what a real champion does, unlike the two divas that are ranked 1 & 2 on the p4p lists

    1. I agree it's not his fault that Matthyse pulled out. But so what? That doesn't make beating Cano any more of an achievement.

    2. Sorry, but just being *willing* to fight a guy who's maybe the 5th best guy in the division (Matthyse) doesn't bump Morales's legacy. I'd pick Matthyse to win that fight anyway.

    3. A fight against Matthyse had no more legitimacy as a title fight than this one. Again, it was Tim Bradley's title and he never lost it in the ring.

I get that you love Morales. The guy has definitely achieved a lot. All I'm saying is that beating a no-namer like Cano doesn't make his legacy any better or worse than it was. I don't get how that's even an arguable point.
