Pac Man ain't a nice guy, at least, not once he steps into the ring. I mean, this is the guy who punched Marquez in the head whilst he was lying tangled amongst the ropes having already been knocked down by Pac seconds earlier. This isn't meant as a criticism, btw, before the Pactards come out of the woodwork. It's just part of boxing, and people really need to get over it and stop crying cos' a guy who launched a flying headbutt at another guy got KO'd. He got what he deserved. It's great when guys rise above these things and then demonstrate their superiority in style, as Floyd could easily have done, but at the end of the day, when you step into that ring instinct plays a massive part in what follows. I think people don't like what Floyd did merely because it acts as a mirror in which they're forced to witness the ugliness inherent in all of us. But then boxing also brings out the best in people, we see courage that goes beyond the limits of 'ordinary' people, like that young lad who was too brave for his own good against Morales - who was landing clean double right hands on his (terribly managed) cut eye - who had to be rescued by his corner, after Kenny Bayliss did everything in his power to bring the fight to a merciful end by presenting him to the doctor at ringside, who promptly decided that more blood was needed. That's boxing. It's a human drama, as much as it is a sport, moreso, perhaps, than any other sport.
