I like Dana White.
He speaks his mind and does not mind upsetting people to do so.
What he said there was spot on.
Balls
I just want the fight to happen but Pac Man is right to refuse bending over backwards to the whim of Floyd who is making up new rules. They have agreed the 50-50 cut but these negotiations have been going on for years. Floyd wants Pac Man to not stay in Philippines, Pac Man could equally say no pain killers in your hands. It will go on and on, Pac fighting his Top Rank stable and Floyd fighting every 18 months.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Miles a lot of fighters would do what Mayweather did in that situation, I think you're way off there. It's Ortiz's antics that are really rare in a big prizefight like that, hence the whole scenario being unusual. He blatantly headbutts him in the clinch, then expects Mayweather to touch gloves twice, and then give him another hug after the ref says fight on. He was nowhere near ready for the mental aspect of that stage and never will be I suspect. Having said that Cortez wasn't clear and is a terrible referee for the most part granted. I feel Ortiz would've been staring at just about any ref like a dope no matter how loud he called the fight on or how engaged he was though. I like everything Dana White says on this matter in fact, even though I think he's an assclown.
He needed to know one thing - Mayweather doesn't fuck about... he is all business. If you're going to try and dog him and rough him up with your head (as if he isn't a vastly more experienced pro than you) then don't expect him to be any less curtious when it comes to teaching you how the pro game works.
So if any boxer gets Floyd to turn his head, then cold cocks him and ko's him, it's a fair move. Gatti made the mistake of looking at the ref when the ref shouted something, to both boxers. To all future Floyd opponents, do not look at the ref unless you are way across the ring away from Floyd.
Yeah... If he is in punching range during the action then look at him!
Wow, we've just found the blue print to beat floyd.
A dirty game from three dirty players. Good old Cortez done it again so I was not suprised on his behalf. Did not expect that from Ortiz, did not think he was like that. If Cortez took a point off earlier when he was putting his head in we might not be having this conversation. A dirty headbut out of frustration is still a dirty headbut, totally lost respect for him. And Mayweathers sucker punches, came so quick after the hug, thats a cowardly shot. Would have probably been ok with him if that was it. He got a cheap shot back and was happy to get a bit of revenge. But the full on knock out blow afterwards. Where has the honour gone in boxing when something like this is overlooked.

You say tomato,
‘n I say …… it correctly.
I didn't watch. Most people dont like Dana because he represents the UFC.
Dana is a great promoter and has done outstanding things for MMA.He is loud and crass but the guy can walk the walk and always has.
If Dana in this case is jawing about Floyd demanding olympic style drug testing and why then I whole heartedly disagree with him. Boxers are independent contractors who fight on a contract by contract basis. They dont fight for an organization like the UFC they are left on their own to protect their own interests.
If fighters can stipulate glove styles and ring sizes in a contract, than I see nothing wrong with enhanced drug testing. If we learned anything from Balco, its pretty obvious that steroids and performance enhancements are far removed from the Schwartzenegger days of the 70's and 80's. so a whizz quiz isint going to cut it anymore and has been outdated for atleast 15 plus years. With a whizz quiz you are going to catch the small fish of the boxing world who dont have the resources for the big time stuff and the specialist to map out the schedule and formulate for their specific body. For the big time guys who have the resources a whizz quiz is like trying to catch a sword fish with a bass rod.
I am pretty leery of a fighter who wont get blood drawn for the biggest fight and legacy along with over 50 million dollars a piece.
Unfortunately I feel the same way.... The mess between Pac and Mayweather, the two biggest names in boxing right now, makes a mockery of any plans to keep this sport thriving on into the future... When this nonsense can literally go on for years and years and they still may never fight... If boxing can't get itself together and put on this number 1 fight that fans what to see, it's difficult to argue with people who say it's a dieing sport and every day growing more irrelevant...
Not saying it is... But the fans come a long long long second place when other sports like UFC aim to offer fans all they could want plus more..

Dizaster,
Its also crazy because Mayweather is taking the exact same tests he has asked Pac too.
Pac isint conceding anything. matter of fact it's in a sense a silent way to prove he isint on the juice
I don't think Pacquiao can win at this point (re: the testing, not the fight; though I don't think he can win that either). If he caves in to Floyd's demands, it's going to look like a defeat and people are just going to assume that, since he initially refused, he just needed to time get the dope out of his system. It sucks, but the only course of action for Pacquiao is to continue refusing the tests, even if he's clean.
It's shitty for Floyd too, because I think - legacy-wise - he needs Pacquiao a lot more than Pacquiao needs him, which is unfortunate because PBF is one of the most skilled boxers in the history of the sport.
