If a woman starts hitting you or pulls a blade on you, are we expected to just stand there? Nah, I'd do whatever I need to to protect myself, be it man woman, Bilbo or Dog.

It's quite interesting to me how it seems quite acceptable in society for a woman to fly into a rage and hit a man and it is typically ignored. But if a man does the same thing he is automatically the devil.

I agree that neither gender should fly off the handle and deck the other, but I think there are clear double standards.

Men are taught to never hit a woman, but I don't think that line is ever reinforced with women. Still, in this case I don't think it was right for a woman to be bruised up. Anyone leading the attack is an out of control lunatic IMO.
Yeah your friends attack seems a wrongun.

If you get violent you should be prepared to take it back. Women shouldn't get an exemption.

What's worse is when the woman attacks the man, he does nothing but block the attack, then some other guys get involved and iron him out when it was blatantly the loony bird causing aggro.

I would never ever hit a woman except if my physical integrity or the one of somebody around me is being threatened seriously (from my judgementof the moment, of course). A girl trying to push me could be ok, a girl shouting like there is no tomorrow doesn't bother me, a girl trying to punch me.... NO GOOD. I wouldn't fire back at the first punch but if she keeps being crazy or tries to really hurt me (especially if she has a weapon), without shame, I'll do what I gotta do to protect me.

If she's a total psychobitch, like Glenn Close in fatal attraction...

    Then I guess it's okay.

Yes. But she needs to spin 360 in mid air.

I feel quite sure that threre are exceptions, like having to defend yourself, not all women are wilting flowers, (think Anne Wolfe) some are more then capable of doing some serious damage, especially if they're really pissed off or fucked up on drugs or alcohol.

I've never had it happen, but if a woman hauled off and hit me, or tried to kick me in the nuts, it would take a lot of self restraint not to retaliate. Having said that, I hope that I never have to strike a female, even in self-defense there's just something terribly wrong about that.

I had one tee off on me once when younger and at the pub I had said some damaging things to back up a mate of mine she was tearing to shreds and I deserved a belting, but she really hurt her stupid skinny arms and wrists on my very hard head. Its was actually fun like Tysons forehead blocks except she was so lousy a shot and a swinger for the trees I didnt have to even react much. Good night all round.
