I'm posting this from the shitter, ain't technology grand?
Me too. This is a seriously great lyric:

"But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more"

For a young guy and for Lennon (at this stage not known for his intimacy) that's really deep. Basically saying that for everybody that has been before and everybody that comes after, I will never love anybody like I love you.
THe disconnect between Lennon the lyricist and Lennon the individual is remarkable. He could be a douchebag of epic proportions, but he wrote some of the most sentimental, thoughtful, and introspective songs.

If you're interested in him, I suggest you read the book John Lennon, the Life.
