Good seems like there were a few others who had it 7-5 for bellew, which is what I had as well. They should rematch down the line at some point...as long as both stay away from the top dogs for a while, cause neither is ready.

I just watched it again sober (well sort of) and without pound notes in my eyes.

    Still think Bellew won. Just.

It was very close. It could have gone either way. It was within one or two rounds. Great tear up. Other than Bernard Hopkins' fight, it was a solid night of boxing. Cleverly needs to remain domestic though.

Just give him a bit more time a few more fights,i do think he has the class to be a good champ but only time will tell.

    Clevely is a good champ

dont forget it was his first really big fight and he fought away from home in a hostile atmosphere and bellew really did fight out of his skin

i also think that clev tried to curb the hard man approach too, in previous fights if he had have been hit with some of the shots bellew hit him with he would have piled in

I had Bellew winning it 7-5 i think. Dave Parris must have been on crack to score it to Clev by 5 rounds. Cracking fight though and it could have gone either way. I hope they do it again. Bellew proved himself big time. Felt really bad for him at the end. He was gutted.

I may watch it again later. I had it about as even as you could have it, maybe just gave Clev a 1 round edge.

honestly man it was closer to 5 rounds up to clev than bellew winning it

he did well rounds 2-4 and then another one he edged but appart from that you had to be very kind to give him a round

some of the rounds he looked good in parts but if you asses the whole round then its there isnt much case

one example its where he landed a straight right on the ropes, i think he hit him with a right hook during the same exchange, the commontators were going mad about the punch and rightly so, enzo mac scored the round for bellew, but if you watch the round back clev did much more over the 3 minutes

To me it looked like a draw. If you count the amount of punches landed in the round as the way of deciding who won. But like most people have said, it could have gone either way. Lots of respect for Bellew, his sparring with froch has definatly improved his skill. He deserves his rankng and could fight Zsolt Erdie or Karo Murat next. Clev needs more work before he fights Dawson, Bernard or Pascal.

Are you just hypothetically saying he could fight those guys or have there been suggestions that he will? I must say I don't think he's ready for Zsolt Erdei at all yet. Neither of them are.

Cleverly is the classic example of a guy who isnt the best in his division, he cant punch and is easy to hit.
Champions of the past would eat him alive.
    was a good fight tho.

Nathan Cleverly reminds me of a poor man's version of Joe Calzaghe.

Nathan Cleverly get hit too much for my liking. He had a great chin but he stands too square on and loves a scrap and makes all his fights a war on attrition. This is exciting to watch but is very predictable and a smart boxer like Dawson and even B Hop would out box him with relative ease. Cleverly cannot always rely on his fitness and conditioning to win him the fights.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

He is still learning but i still think he is a good fighter, did Hatton get hit a lot yes so he did allright and i can't see why he can't do the same.I think he is more of a boxer no need for him to go toe to toe, is it to please the fan's? may be i wish him well.
