People need to get over words in general, being offended by them just gives power to whoever decides to use them.

BINGO!!!!! My family taught me this. If someone were to call me a racial slur I wouldn't allow myself to get upset because that is their intention.

Yes and when people know that button is there to be pushed and they'll always get a reaction from it then they will always use it.

Agreed I would either ignore, smile or laugh if someone said anything racist. They are the one that would look stupid.
