Okay, simple and straightforward advice please, and in a nod to boozeboxer, some comedic will be welcome too.

I currently have the shits, have done since around 7am, and have been back and forth to the throne for the last six or seven hours. I'm avoiding food, and trying to stay hydrated. Any other tips for me?

Best, if you have a bug, to let nature take it's course and have a good claer out. If not take Immodium tablets (can get at any supermarket) they will plug you up proper.

I second the immodium recommendation, just make sure you drink a ton of water.

I would drink a prune milkshake, to ensure you stay hydrated.
