Cotto would have smacked the crap out of Hatton at any point in their careers. Cotto had the ability to box and to brawl, Hatton just had pressure, he had decent power, but the skill of Cotto would be too much. It would have been like Foreman-Frazier.

Hatton-Gatti or Hatton-Ward is what I wanted to see. Total brawls!

I would favour Hatton against the Cotto that fought Paulie at 140. But at 147 Cotto stops him inside 4.

I think it's abit unfair to say he couldnt box, he did show this ability on many occasions, the Magee fight, he was put down for the first time in his career, then went on to out-box the southpaw conclusively, Ben Tackie got shut out, Olivera, Urango.. etc

Hatton Cotto at 140 would have been the fight, but @ 147 different prospect.

I remember when talk was going around the Hatton camp about a Gatti fight, a real shame that didnt materialise, what a barn burner that would of been, a classic for Atlantic City
