I will have to give it a go![]()
Is this ridiculous thread still going...
How many first-ballot hall of famers did Calzaghe beat? Joe's a good fighter but he was definitely not P4P #1 ever. I'm sorry but if you ask people to name the greatest fighters in the history of the sport YEARS from now, most people wouldn't throw Calzaghe's name on there.
But to answer your question, yes. When either Mayweather or Pacquiao retire for good, the P4P #1 will retire as that.
Can I just say it's not me or the people on this forum, that will have the last say but the history book's and Joe's in them C-Lo?![]()
How erudite you are. Like the French and their typecasting of the English with their witty riposte of "rosbif". Your colloquialisms are indicative surely of a far greater intellect than that which you display publicly. Why your cigar betrays your sophistication and your willingness to engage in witty repartee fair delights all and sundry. Unlike our cousins across the pond, citizens of Great Britain refer to themselves with their country of birth superseding their parents ancestry. So Welsh Italian,English Italian, Scottish Italian. Something to do with having a history that exceeds 235 years. People born on Mars are Martian it says so on their interplanetary passport. Calzaghe - Kessler was blinding by the way and went a long way to confirming his greatness, an attribute measured not only by the caliber of opposition faced but also with how such challenges are met.
It seem's you like to go the long way round when you cross the road ?![]()
Obviously there are some fans who will always believe that rocky marciano and joe calzaghe are the greatest boxers that ever lived.
Inside they know there not but they are definatly in the top ten.
That's a simple answer. Mayweather's first ballot hall of famers include: De La Hoya, Marquez and Mosley. Diego Corrales, Jose Luis Castillo, Ricky Hatton, Arturo Gatti, Zab Judah are arguably in that category as well. Pacquiao's include: De La Hoya, Marquez, Mosley, Barrera, Morales. Cotto can arguably make the HOF. Not to mention Pac fought Marquez, Barrera and Morales a total of 8 times.
Aside from Jones Jr. and Hopkins, who does Joe have under his belt? Thought so. "lol ur a joke and u just can't accept it!!"
