Sirhan Sirhan Guilty?

Sirhan had an obsession with Bobby Kennedy because he thought RFK was radically pro-Israel and helping the "Jews". Sirhan wasn't "brainwashed" by anyone, he was just another Palestinian/mid-eastern born looney with an obsession, and sub-consciously seeking the negative attention he used to get from his abusive father.

There's a really good chance Sirhan learned some of his anti-semitism, and/or hatred of Israel/Jews from his Palestinian/Arab father. Sirhan grew up during the Jewish-Arab war would be 12 years old when his family immigrated to the U.S., as Palestinian refugees.

Why Sirhan targeted Bobby Kennedy is a bit of a mystery, I don't recall RFK being all that pro-Israel, certainly not any more than other Democratic politicians back in 1968. In any event, Sirhan probably thought assassinating Kennedy would make him a fucking hero, sort of like when John Wilkes Booth assassinated Abe Lincoln, in the belief that he would be a hero to the confederacy.
