I mean, it's good that someone decided to celebrate and give credence to music that is (was) less coveted (in Britain) and I guess that had to call it something but... I dunno, yeah just seems like maybe these genres have a voice now. I mean what cerain artis wining The Mercury Prize, Brit Awards & Ivor Novello Awards...
