Right? In any event, irrespective of anything, he definitely has more leverage going into the 4th installment. The only other fight out of the ones you mention that makes financial sense is Cotto, but Cotto has a tough fight in December.

Agreed. This was meant to be more of a fantasy matchup thread rather than 'what do you think will actually happen next' thread. Although I seriously doubt whether Arum will let Pacquiao fight JMM in Mexico.

I think a lot of those fights would be very interesting indeed. On the weekends performance I'd make Marquez favourite in all of them bar Cotto. I think JMM would take Rios, Bradley and Maidana apart.

A Cotto fight would have been unthinkable before Saturday but now it seems a realistic possibility, assuming Cotto comes out of December 3rd alive and can cut the weight to 147 or an agreed catchweight. I personally would love to see it next year, if at all possible.

I hear ya. I like Khan over JMM and Cotto.

And a fight in Mexico against Marquez would be a great pr move for Pacquiao right now. Don't you think?

Absolutely. Put it on in the Azteca in front of 100,000 people.

Just don't screw Marquez on the scorecards if you wanna make it out alive.

Don't act like it was Pacquiao scoring the fight. He is just the boxer.

Completely though - it would be sensational in that kind of setting. It really would be.

Gotta respect that, and expect it. Hindsight being 20-20 I have no reason to believe it cannot be just as close and contested even more so in Mexico

I was referring to Arum rather than Pacquiao!

Check out the Plaza de Toros as well, also in Mexico City. It's where the Canelo/Cintron fight is in a couple of weeks. Looks like a great setting for boxing (it's usually a bullring).

Where is Marquez from? Does he live in Mexico City?
