Burns need to stay on his level and face Supernatural Kevin Mitchell...

I mean, Mitchell is a notch above him as well in terms of ability but he has few screws loose inside his head so that evens it out..

Kevin Mitchell VS Burns on BOXNATION or wherever else they fight... So mouth watering...

    War Mitchell!!!!
I was a huge fan of Mitchell, do not know if you have seen his war with Carl Johannson, that was a quality fight. Really disappointed he got blasted by Katasidis but came good with a win over Murray. Mitchell is a world class fighter on his day.

Marquez stops him in the 8th after giving him a right beating.

Does anyone know if burns really does still work in a shop and how much money do you reckon a fighter like burns takes home after all his fees.

I remember watching that fight as it ebbed and flowed, and just thinking how could both of those guys be taking the shots they were. Superb fight.

Ive seen most of Kev.. I give him the benefit of a doubt for the Kat loss for many reasons.. First off, he wasnt ready for a fight of that magnitude. The guys was green at the time while Katsidis was at his peak...

Second, I know he didnt have the best training camp for that bout due to personal issues etc etc..

Third, Kev really underestimated Katsidis.. He figured that he'd walk through this one dimensional Katsidis and he definitely overlooked him a bit..

Seems like alot of Brits dont like him because of his shenanigans outside the ring but I could care less about all that. When I watch him fight, I see a supremely skilled Boxer-puncher, just the type of fighter that floats my boat.. I know he tends to be kookoo for cocopuffs outside the ring and i still question his mental toughness, but skillwise, he's up there close to Marquezs, Linares, and the Nonitos of the world.. He just has to put it all together..

Burns' win over a war torn Katsidis is overrated.

im not just basing my opinion of burns on one fight by the way, ive seen him fight about a dozen times

We agree tho that mitchell has the skills to beat burns and probably would out box him

But mitchell gets involved when ever he takes a couple and he would take few from marquez without a doubr, i think he would resort to trying to out-man marquez which i think he would lose doing

Which ever way tho they are 3 fights id love to see

    Easy win for Marquez.
People say dont underestimate burns which I did when he beat Katsidis. But Marques is in the top the best boxers in the world and is a different class to Burns. Not worried about underestimating Burns this time round.

Burns must be tired of living. He brings nothing to the table. No name. No money. No competition. He has a belt I believe. But it's meaningless. Waste of time for marquez

    VD is right...

Id also add that Ricky Burns is a lower B level fighter.. I know boxing fans are one of the most fickle minded sports fans out there and yea, Burns is the flavor of the week or whatever but straight up, he's not a worldbeater..

I can't believe some dudes are saying he'll put up a competitive fight with Marquez etc... lmfao really?

This is another moment where Roger Mayweather's quote comes to mind but let's not go there cuz it's a lovely Thanksgiving day...

The thing is has Burns, has been beating opponents which most here on this forum, were thinking
he could not beat but he did.?
So you would have to say he's not done to bad,so he could prove us all wrong.?
