In the UK if you have to go off road a lot, or pull a horse box etc a 4x4 makes sense, otherwise I think far from making you look cool, it actually makes you look like you have had a charisma bypass. They cost a lot of money, guzzle fuel and are lethal for pedestrians, bikers and people in normal cars.If you have that much money to spend on a luxury car there are plenty that don't look like a fucking portacabin on wheels. To me it seems like the vehicular equivalent of buying a staffy or a pitbull, sure they are powerful looking and all that, but to me they ain't handsome, there are plenty more breeds with much more character and individuality. It's an extravagance, but one i'm able to afford. One day when I get ready to retire, I may buy my last 2 vehicles, something that will last me the remainder of my life.

Well said, I am more than happy with my medium sized car. A man with a big car should be forced to marry a big woman as there is just no need for it otherwise. If you have to cram a weighty heffer in next to you then there might be some justification, but otherwise they are ugly, can't fit into parking spaces and are extremely dirty too. Out here most of the people who drive big cars are dwarfs and even have a step ladder in the back to climb into the thing. Downright strange.
