I don't think it should happen, with Margarito's eye the result will be the same. Its a questionable win over a legitimate win. Don't want to see Margarito get another big payday the man doesn't deserve it he needs to retire before he ends up blind. But knowing Bob Arum he might just con people into a third fight.

I actually think it could happen. Arum will try and milk this rivalry dry. And since Margarito seems to believe he could have gotten him if his eye hadn't swelled up he would be in for it again. But would Cotto want to face him again?

That's true. But I don't think Cotto would want it, he would want to move on he's got his revenge and knows he the better man in and out of the ring.

If margarito gets a licence to fight again why not

I for one am not convinced the result would have been the same had it not been for the injury

And it was a decent fight, no where near as good as the first but very watchable

If Margarito didn't have the Eye Injury could it have been a different fight? He does tend to turn it up in the later rounds and Cotto was beginning to stop and trade more and more

even with the eye (im not saying it should) if they would have let it continue i think cotto would have still won but ithink he would have been hanging on

Yeah it was competitive at some times but it would have probably been a UD win for Cotto.

It wasn't even close to being the same as the 1st fight, Miguel Cotto pitched a shut out and never looked in trouble in any of the rounds.

This, I suspect many(myself included) just couldn't shake the idea that Cotto started out fighting the same way and were waiting for Margarito to catch up to him again. It didn't and wasn't going to happen this time and Margarito should retire if he values his sight whatsoever as that eye is completely fucked.

Much like Barrera with Morales, Cotto now feels he has gotten revenge and the upper hand and he'll never fight Margarito again.

    Its over.

I was rooting for Miguel Cotto but i also had an axious feeling, when watching the fight because i felt Antonio Margarito could start getting to him. But his punches didn't have the same effect and everyone can make there own mind up about that.
