Then warn him, where were the warnings? It's a title fight FFS, the REF was poor in not letting Khan know that what he was doing was unacceptable. He should've been warned at least twice before any point deductions. Ali pushed all the time, so did big George, so did Joe. It doesn't make it right, but at least give the fighter the knowledge that you're onto him and as the referee the next time you do it there will be a point deduction.
I'd like to see a ref deduct a point every time Floyd uses his elbow?

This ...one thing that irks me refeering really is so subjective in boxing. One ref will let a fighter get castrated due to low blows, another will constant hugin happen, while another freaks at slightest sign of in fighting, its all very inconsistent.

Some people have selective hearing. Khan was being warned all night long. 'Stop pushing', simple but filled with meaning. You have to listen to the referee and adapt. Khan ignored him and carried on. He also ignored his own corner all night long too. Khan has a potato between the ears.

Dude I just watched the fight again right now and the ref clearly tells Khan at the start of Round 6 "Stop pushing or I'm gonna take a point!" and then half way into round 6 he breaks them up and points a stern finger at Khan and says "STOP PUSHING!" and one more time before the round is out.

Then, he warns him a few times in round 7 and there he docks a point. Completely justified. Round 12 I don't think was justified but then again, neither was the counted knockdown for Khan. Replays show he clearly forearms lamont to the floor. So that cancels each other out.

People act like the ref just beamed down from space in round 7 and docked a random point off Khan. He warned him from Rounds 1-7 about pushing. I'm surprised he didn't take a point sooner.

You know, the download of the fight I got was in Russian, and the commentary was that minimal and quiet, that I could pretty much hear every word the referee spoke. So much so, that it was becoming extremely irritating. His favourite words throughout the fight were "STOP PUSHIN KHAN, STOP PUSHIN" over and over and over again.

I actually had the fight for Peterson by 2, and even felt that Peterson could have let his hands go a little more and made it even clearer. Khan could have been disqualified no problems IMO and was lucky not to be. Khans complete inabilty to fight on the inside and his lack of power let him down on the night.
