I agree with most of what you're saying eric, Ward headbutted, fouled his way to win over Kessler in yet another fight in his hometown. Ward has also had a much easier route to the final than Froch, and I do believe he's a tad overrated. What I don't agree with is Froch winning by KO, that just isn't very likely, although i'd love seeing it. Realistically, if Froch wins at all it will be by a close, somewhat controversial decision, probably a SD.
BTW, I have nothing but disdain for Ward, but he is good at that shit that he does, it wins him fights, so this will be a tough fight for Carl.
Ward was out on his feet against Bika so I think a KO is a possibility
    When did that happen?

I have just wrote a 3,500 word article on Froch's progression in the super six and my views on the Ward fight. Hopefully it will be on the main site in time for the fight, Ill post it as soon as its on the website.

Got quite a lot of my views about the fight on it, there was so much to talk about. So excited for the fight though, really hope Froch can do it.

    Looking forward to it, Tam.

Unless I'm mistaken, the match is for the Ring Magazine Belt as well, right? Meaning, it is for the lineal championship at super middleweight. It's a big deal for the division.

    Here are the facts.
If ward comes forward like against Kessler then ward will be ktfo in 4 as he will walk on to uppercuts.
If he boxes on the back foot froch will march him down like grass as froch is harder tougher than haggler and has more stamina and power.
If froch catches ward with any shots that Johnson took then ward is fucked!!
A ward fan would be foolish to disagree

i think this fight may suprise people with how good it will be. Both guys like to make it ugly and know the other does likewise, watch for headbutt, elbows, holding and hitting.....that aside ward has very good speed and movement and froch is strong and brave

    Why?

Strange thing to say then not follow it up with anything, other than telling us Ward is favourite.

I really like Froch, he's never in a dull fight and never takes an easy fight.

Against AA, it was a masterclass, against Kessler, I don't know what his issue was, but he didn't start fighting until half way. I thought he was very much ontop for the second half of the fight and pretty much threw it away. with the early rounds.

I have been converted, because until the Pascal fight I didn't rate Froch at all. He looked great as an amateur, but his defence as a pro has been awful. I haven't seen much of Ward, but from what I have seen, I think he will win.

Wasn't too long ago that everybody was not giving a British SMW a hope in hell against the lates American star and look what happend then - hope history repates itself

froch didnt lose a round against kes till maybe 6

watch the 4th its so one sided i didnt think the fight would go any longer

kes doesnt hit froch with anything significant until the 6th

you are right on one thing tho, froch does dominate the last 6, just not quite as much as he did the first

You can almost disregard previous performances in this fight the stakes are so high. It had received relatively minor coverage in the non boxing media but for me has the potential to be a fight for the ages. Don't get me wrong both fighters have the potential to nullify each other and make it an anticlimactic event, but if both bring out their A game it becomes compulsive viewing. Froch has been made the underdog and yet Ward does not see himself as the favourite. The focus on his use of the head on many forums seemed to have deepened the chip on his shoulder, and spurred Froch on with the odds narrowing as fight night approaches. It has a surprisingly retro feel to it already for a fight that has yet to be fought. Carl "the cobra" Froch has morphed into a rugged John Wayne/ Rooster Cogburn character and Andre "S.O.G" Ward has much to his chargin been saddled with the role of Tom Chaney. Charles Portis himself could not have scripted it better. Will Rooster hunt him down? Or will Chaney escape with a points victory only to be knocked out in the future by laboeuf/Bute? I live in hope that, Boom, Boom Froch catches Chaney early and then faces Bute in the UK, calling him out at the press conference, "LaBoeuf, if you get crosswire of me you'll think a ton of brick had fell on you! You'll wisht you was back at the Alamo with Travis!"

Im going for ward to knock froch out in the ninth round. I am a massive froch fan but I think ward is too quick and has better endurance. Froch gets hit too easily. I think he probably lost to dirrel and I think ward is more dangerous than dirrel. Plus if ward makes good use of his head again then it will be even easier.
I love to watch froch fight but I just dont think he can win.
