Good film franchises

I'm sure they showed that Donner cut on TV recently. But I didn't realise at the time I just thought something was different.

Terminator = awesome.

When I was a kid I watched the Star War films a few million times. Empire Strikes Back different class. Don't like the prequels

Yes, new Star Wars sucks. Empire Strikes back was great though. I love the darkness of it all.

I really like Hannibal. I actually prefer it to The silence of lambs. It has a kind of dreamy renaissance feel to it all and I think the third one is great too. Murder as artistry and you can sense the divinity in the chamber music whilst waltzing around Italy disemboweling stalking detectives. I didn't bother with that prequel one though.

Can we all agree that Saw was one of the very worst inflictions upon humanity.

It spawned an entire genration of wholly untalented directors who cater to the illiterate, imbecilic morons who think torture porn is cool and hard.

Fucking hate those films. Not big, not clever, just infantile and dirty.

I'd rather have directed animal porn than torture porn. At least animals are difficult to work with and it takes skill to get the best out of them.

I have never seen Saw.

Psycho has to be one of the best films ever made and I really like the sequel too. The final one also has its moments, but the 3rd one is just 80's slasher trash. Really horrible.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. For me, the Bourne franchise is great. The last movie was the worst of the bunch.... but all the others were fantastic.
