Smoger is a very respected ref. His opinion is well valued. It's to bad he didn't get to make the final decision. Cuz I too saw the fight starting to change. Cotto was already starting to back up in that moronic fashion of his. Had the fight gone on I think he would of just hung on and made it to the bell to take a points victory. But I doubt he cries like a bitch in celebration afterwards.
I like a ref who lets a fighter fight as much as the next guy,
but this is the same idiot who let let Gatti get battered by Gomez; who would have let it continue until the coroner carted his body out in a ba. If Hazzard hadn't intervened in that massacre who knows how long Smoger would have stood by with his thumb up his ass!
Granted I think Margarito should have been left to continue, but using Smoger's decision making as the basis of your argument is laughable. Although laughable is the bearing of the majority of your posts.
