I 100% agree you don't have to be a ko artist to be an exciting fighter. That would be a huge exaggeration of my point. I 100% don't believe that at all. Not one bit. Look at Pacquiao - how many ko's has he scored in his recent fights? Not that many. Not one person, boxing fanatic or casual fan, says Pacquiao fights are dull. My point was just some punching power would do ward favors with his marketability. He may just have not been naturally gifted with a lot of punching power. It is what it is. However, he can build some power. Maybe if he moved up in weight he could add power? Anyway, that's just my opinion. I don't find Ward's fights boring per se. I just think there is a dimension lacking to them.

I agree; he (Ward) isn't particularly exciting. Though personally, I find his fights quite interesting, and I always enjoy watching them. But many fans don't care much for "interesting." And IMO, he clearly belongs on the top-5 P4P list.

I don't understand a lot of the hate he gets either. I guess for some his style can be a bit boring, but i'm always interested to see how he's going to come out and fight. Is he going to stay on the outside and box or is he going to walk you into the ropes and beat you up. Some of the hate may also be because of all his god talk during interviews, i like to watch him though.
