Sulaiman is the same as Blatter, way too old should have retired years ago and lost touch with reality.

Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
I don't see the big deal to be honest. I'm guessing he wasn't saying that wife beating is not a major sin in general, but rather that what Floyd did was not such a big deal.
I tend to agree. Where are the Rihanna type photo's of her beaten and bloody face? All he did was push her and break a phone I think, probably lots of people on here have done as much.
I have only ever pushed back in the face of assault myself and I am talking raining blows. If Floyd had pushed her first and broke the phone then he was totally in the wrong and that seems to have been the case.
You can't go exerting your own physical force upon others. It is wrong. Women get a free pass on this issue IMO as men never report women who attack them. It is something I feel strongly about actually, but to go to prison is a bit much. However, Floyd is young and black and unfortunately the legal system does overwhelmingly dish out silly punishments for being so.
I don't think he deserves to be in jail, Sulaiman does though as he has a long history of corruption. I maintain the pitchfork argument.
And yes, there was the rice cooker, but that was never along with pushing and shoving on my part. I just thought I would add that before my detractors all started chiming in with their usual attacks.
Boxing forums are tough sometimes.
He also hit and kicked her right in front of their kids. It was in the kids statements, and thats why he had to plead guilty to lesser charges, because it wasn't just a he said/she said case, as it was the last time he beat her. This time he had no defense against the kids statements.
And if anybody didn't realize what a piece of shit Sulaiman is by now, come on...... He's a corrupt scumbag.

Well if you want to know how Sergio Martinez feels about this scumbags comments, tune in to here right now, he's about to hold a live press conference about Sulaiman's comments. In case you didn't know, stopping violence against women is a big cause for Sergio. I hope he gives it to him, especially since the WBC has been screwing him over.
There is supposed to be English translation.

Wow! I hope someone puts the transcript out for that press conference that Martinez just had. Some may not like Sergio for his style of boxing, but you sure should respect the man. In a world of backhanded deals and lies, it's good to see a guy in this sport have integrity, and stand up for what's right not only for himself, but for others as well.
Recap - Unless changes are made, he said he would no longer fight for the WBC, nor will he fight on HBO for their mistreatment. He ripped into a lot of people. He knows that this could hurt his career, but said that he is willing to stand up in order to make changes to help this sport. Good for him.
