Sorry I'm on my phone and I say an article that was posted by Boxing Insider on Facebook. On Pacquiao's website it states he agrees to May 5 .

I don't buy it. Here's what another source (BOXINGTALK : PACQUIAO SAYS HE'LL FIGHT MAYWEATHER IN LATE MAY) says:

UPDATE: According to an unattributed report published by the reliable Sydney Morning Herald, Manny Pacquiao, with promoter Bob Arum at his side, said at a press conference today in the Philippines that he WOULD fight Floyd Mayweather before Mayweather reports to jail on June 1st, but under the following conditions: 1. the revenues be split 50/50 between Mayweather and Pacquiao (seems reasonable); 2. the fight take place in late May, not Mayweather's requested date of May 5th, because a larger outdoor arena could be built that could add $20 million in revenue into the pot. Arum expressed doubt that the offer would be accpeted by Mayweather because Arum believes Mayweather will not accept a 50/50 split unless someone guaranteed Mayweather a minimum amount (such as, for example, $30 million) so that he would not have to worry about lower-than-expected pay-per-view sales. Arum told the Philippine Star he would guarantee Pacquiao's purse, but only do so for Mayweather if Mayweather agreed to a split that was less than 50/50.

    This fight will not happen.

Has anybody heard anything if the random blood tests with no cutoff dates would be accepted? This was a major player on this whole drama.

Odds Manny fights Mayweather before Mayweather goes to jail (via killersheep)

    Yes they fight before: +50000 = 50/1

    No they don't fight before: -50000 = 1/50
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

have u been out of the loop? only person making excuses is Arum, saying that Manny needs 6 months for a scratch that he received against Marquez to heal

Manny still wants Mayweather but thinks May 5 is too soon. Honestly if they really really want it nothing is too soon. "Nothing is final yet", that straight from Manny's mouth. Jinkee Pacquiao in a TV news interview said a rematch with Cotto is her husband's prefererence. It's a match-up that the fans are not that much into so at the end of the day I don't think they'll push thru with it. They can do the Marquez rematch and it'll still sell well despite hardcore fan's objections. Personally I like Bradley if no Mayweather. He's young, undefeated and hungry. Manny is going to make his final decision before Arum goes back to the State but said they'll keep the opponent under wraps for awhile to study the potentials further.

Manny agrees to the date that Floyd is not happy with or the stadium is not big enough or Floyd's purse is not guaranteed, this bollocks is driving me crazy!!!!!

It doesn't look like it will be happening as long as Arum is alive.

IMO both only half heartedly wants it. If one of them wholeheartedly wants it then it would become obvious to everyone because the one who truly wants it will sit and get down to some serious negotiations and then we can be optimistic that it'll finally get made. And if it still doesn't happen, then it would be clear as day who is to blame.
