What does it say about a sport when you can move up into a new weight class and get away with calling out a fighter from retirement rather than facing someone else, in a sport with numerous organizations. Khan may not be ready for Floyd or pacquiao but doesn't mean he should be able to avoid everyone else at welterweight.

Hes the guy being avoided by the two top people in the devision he currently resides in. Mosley is his first fight at that weight so its not that bad. I thought he was going to take on Mathew Hatton so this is ok in my book. Anyway Mosley only fought Manny just over half a year ago. If he is good enough to fight Manny then he is deffinately good enough to fight Khan.
I personally would like to see him fight Ortiz, Berto or Mike Jones.
But Mosley is ranked fifth in that devision so how can you complain.

Khan will wait for Peterson and not go to welterweight yet.

Khan also seems to be forced to joining Arum to get Peterson or Bradley and maybe even Pac Man.

I would much rather Khan face Peterson again in a rematch, failing that then Bradley at light welter but like you say they are not playing ball. It is the proliferation of names dictating the terms and conditions of who should be fought etc that has caused this mess. Money has always talked but there have also always been true champions willing to face anyone at a weight dictated by a division not a catch-weight and now it seems that the fighters willing to try and unify are being punished. Mosely may be a more competitive fight than Matthew Hatton for Khan but it is not about who is good enough to give him trouble. Mosley has had his career and fighting Khan ain't gonna do a lot to enhance it even if Shane beats him. Khan - Ortiz would answer a lot of questions about both fighters, hell what about Senchenko, has he retired or what ? How people can think Peterson doesn't owe Khan anything is beyond me. Sure Khan bitched but he also gave Peterson the chance to win both belts and now it seems again that both the Washington fighter and Bradley have no interest in fighting him. If Khan goes up to welter and avoids the top 3's from each organisation for a retired fighter he is no better.

But can he really just wait around and hope they change there minds. I would love to see Khan fight them. He has been calling them both out. He even offered Peterson 50/50 on the PPV.
Khan wants belts and to be at the top. He wont wait for people to change there minds. What would you do in his position. Fight other people in the devision like Maidana or Alexander and hope after that they will fight him. Or move up a devision and make your way to the titles there that you will probably get to fight for.
