I cannot wait for the 2nd season to start. I just started rewatching the 1st season again, so I'm good and ready for it.

Books 4 and 5 tried their best to kill my enthusiasm for the show, but that trailer looks fucking awesome. Season 1 is probably my favourite tv series ever.

While Martin's writing is so-so and full of strange idiosyncrasies, his storylines in the first three books were outstanding. The series has jumped the shark and is just being dragged out now though.

Honestly I have never read any of the books, I swear on my own life.
