Don't know if people know this but Freddies nickname as a boxer was "The Choir Boy"

Another night..... another empty victory for Chavez Jr. How ironic. How in the same card, Vazquez Jr. gets thrown to the lions against the p4p top 5 Donaire..... Baby Chavez gets accolades for beating yet another worthless opponent. Disgusting shet. Of course, Baby Chavez fans will obviously disagree... saying how Rubio was all that. Nonsense. He is being coddled... and his 45 wins mean NOTHING. I hope they make a mistake and throw him in against Martinez... so he can get KTFO'ed.

You can bet team Chavez will duck Martinez until they're just about forced to fight him. I'd like to see Sergio call this bitch out after his fight with Matt Macklin on March 17th. (St. Paddy's day)

The question is: Can Junior get to 100 wins like his daddy while ducking live competition? My money is on YES. With Papa pulling the strings... and HBO following along like sheep... I say it's entirely possible. Martinez will be left to rot in "ignore hell" while Junior pads his record just like his daddy.
    Fukk them.

I'd like to believe that Boxing fans and/or the boxing orgs, aren't going to allow Julio Jr to keep ducking Martinez without raising hell about it, but who knows.

I'd like to share your optimism. But....

And yet they might not entirely duck him. They might wait until Junior is "ready".... in another 10 years. And by that time Martinez will have retired and Chavez's camp will say "SEE? We WANTED to fight him, but he's not available."

Not great, but not a bad night of boxing, at least it wasn't a PPV. - Vitali Klitschko vs. Dereck Chisora in 2 weeks on Feb 17, it might be entertaining watching Chisora get outclassed and KTFO.

Sergio Mora is probably a tougher opponent than Margarito at this point .

I thought Rubio was far more active than Chavez and outlanded him despite what punchstats lying propaganda said.

However, Chavez punches looked a lot harder, even though neither man hurt each other.

Rubio won a good 5 rounds, but had poor body language and looked like the loser.

    Terrible fight really.

Vasquez hung tough with Donaire, can hold his head up high. Tough little bugger.

I really find myself at odds with the HBO crew. Aside from Merchant they all seem to find a testicle to hang from and kind of stick with it unless the fight is so one sided that they are forced to see it somewhat different.

I look at Lederman's scorecards and just shrug. I don't remember him being as off as he seems to be these days.

On the whole though I quite enjoyed the fights, but I didn't enjoy what they were saying. Steward is all over the place these days and seems to be forgetting how to finish a sentence that he starts.

They are bias to the point of it being sickening. They overly praise the house guy and don't want to give any credit at all to the underdog. In fact they often talk right over the parts of the fight where the underdog is having is greatest success.

Ledderman is absolutely useless, though he was somewhat fair in the Donaire fight.

I think Emmanuel Steward is just bored these days. He looks like he's ready to fall asleep watching ringside.

Great presentation, often great fights from HBO, but just terrible bias.
