In defense of Chavez Jr., the Rubio win is a good win. I hate that he didn't take the post-fight drug tests because given his history in failing a drug test, it taints this win. Felix Sturm probably has too much boxing ability for Chavez Jr. Sturm is now fighting Chavez Jr.'s leftovers in Zbik after Zbik turned down a fight with Proksa. I could see Chavez Jr. beating Lee and maybe Geale, not saying it would go that way, but I can see it. He may be too big for Proksa who is a smaller middleweight.

Sorry, yes. I misread the first sentence as saying that a win over Rubio was arguably better than a win over Pirog, which, re-reading it, is not what it says.

In addition to that he was busted for driving drunk in California 2 weeks ago. He has no credibilty at all, and there's no telling what drugs he might have taken before the Rubio fight.

I am not saying I give Chavez Jr. the benefit of the doubt. Considering his history of using illegal substances, I agree with you that I don't believe it is warranted. Frankly, if I were in Chavez Jr.'s camp, I would have forced the Texas commission to give Chavez Jr. the test, otherwise his win is tainted. Someone needs to do some investigative journalism to find out if indeed it was Texas that dropped the ball on his test or if Chavez Jr. avoided taking the test.

The bottom line is, if this is true, Julio Jr is cheating to give himself an advantage, I can understand Rubio being pissed off.

Imagine being that dull and uninspiring on drugs, not a great advert for steroids. Somethings not right and while I have no wish to insinuate anything about Rubio, Donnaire or Vasquez even if Chavez Jr was clean his whole career is a bit of a travesty.

If what I read is true, Julio Jr. was supposed to give a urine sample to the Texas Commission in the dressing room after the fight, but left in a hurry without giving it. I can almost guarantee you that the Texas Commission is not at fault here, this is all on team Chavez.
