Hatton would win, if he did not stop him with body shots he would decide to out box him and win a comfortable position.

Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Somehow, I do see Hatton winning this one while in his prime and where his body wasn't crucially smothered by excessive eating and drinking habits.

That's the way it is, not the way it ends
Would maidana had have beaten tzu?
Officially the only saddo who has had a girlfriend
Prime Hatton had a chin and could take a punch. He would be too quick in and our of range and the body shots would have won him the fight
Prime Hatton beat slightly past his prime Kostya Tszyu which is still better than Maidana. In his prime Hatton would destroy Maidana. Hatton's losses came from the 2 very best fighters of this generation, not the likes of Maidana.

Morales has a good chin, and Khan did well at being particularly slippery on the ropes. While I agree that Maidana's power is overrated, but his punch is still pretty good.
The one point I'm making is that Maidana is a warrior in the ring, and I don't imagine anybody having an easy fight with the guy. His determination makes victory possible.
To flip the script a little bit..Does Hatton beat Ortiz? I say no. Ortiz's speed and power would have had Hatton out of there imo
How is that flipping the script, that is just the same old predictable, "let's all have a go a great British fighter who did more for British Boxing in his career than most, now that he has no way of proving me wrong". Ortiz? Tailor made for Ricky. Hatton's footwork alone would tie him in knots. Hatton had a ton of heart and was more than capable of stopping far greater fighters than Ortiz.
Ortiz would have been a much tougher fight for Hatton than Maidana. He has a ton of power, he can box a little bit, and he's a southpaw. He was also a very big 140 lb'er.
I can easily envision Ortiz stopping Hatton.
That means very little. It's all about styles. Hatton would be able to avoid or at least see Maidana's slow, looping punches. Ortiz has perhaps more power and much better technique. He's also a southpaw.
I also think Ortiz would starch Khan (and have said so even after Ortiz lost to Maidana) and he also beat Maidana.
