It's a good fight. I see the point of Froch wanting a gimme fight after going through the gauntlet that was the S6.
Is this the first time in Froch's career that he is avoiding a tough fight for an easier one? I believe so...

What you are implying is that Froch will force the Bute fight by becoming his mandatory? If Showtime wasn't interested in the fight now, why would they be interested in the fight if Froch beats Andrade? From what I gather, Bute was willing to move forward with or without Showtime's support as an out-of-contract fight, similiar to the Mendy fight in Romania last summer. It sounds like Froch wants a tune-up fight against Andrade to get back in the win column and to fight in his hometown. I understand the reasoning. It's just this is his first time of taking an easier fight instead of a difficult one.
I remember reading this is Butes last fight with showtime on their contract and they wanted an American for that. Are you telling me after Froch has fought so many tough fights against quality fighters he would duck Bute? No way he would it's the fight Froch wants because it makes sense for the 168 weight class. The thing is Bute wants the Froch fight too, but end of the day it's up to showtime who he fights so there's nothing they can do until at least their next fight.
I think Froch fighting Andrade is good though, hes been on the road for a while and I think a good tough confidence booster in Andrade isn't a bad thing to set up a potential Bute fight IMO.
I think this is a great fight personally. I don't think Froch has the power to stop Andrade so this could be a 12 round war IMO. Great fight for the fans unless Froch chooses to box like he did against Abraham and not let Andrade get anywhere near inside.
