I do not believe that it is the best interest of any southpaw to be on the inside because it negates his biggest advantage, that being the ability to create advantageous punching angles. Any southpaw will be more effective from either the outside or as he moves in.
Pacquiao, with the advantage in speed of hand and foot that he typically possesses, would be foolish to let himself get conned into fighting an inside fight.
