I don't know how Dave Diamante thinks that the do he's sporting looks good.![]()
As a HEAVYWEIGHT he can afford to take his time. Why rush to be the best, he's got 0 shot of beating Wlad or Vitali...slow and steady is right for Wilder. Wilder does need rounds, and he does need to step up his competition, but like I said he can afford to be slower in becoming a true contender.
When Jhonny Gonzalez was 26 he had already fought Israel Vazquez, Irene Pacheco, Fernando Montiel, Mark Johnson, Gabriel Elizando and Gerry Penalosa. He had also won the WBO Bantamweight title. He had no amatuer experience other than messing around with his friends. That's what the heart of a champion is to me, he fights whomever the best competition is, he wins some, loses some, but always comes back.
When I put that into context against Wilder and Andrade, well maybe they shouldn't be pro if they are still learning. If they are going to be pro then make worthwhile fights.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
