It is good for you I will be starting to drink a glass of milk too. Can I heat it a bit first?

Milk isn't actually healthy for you or dairy products in general. Especially today's milk full of hormones, steroids and god knows what else is injected into Cows. And definitely not for newborn babies.

There's a reason why 70-75 percent of the world's population is lactose intolerant. It's actually detrimental and unhealthy for those people. There's also scientific journals to back up the assertion that milk or dairy is not that healthy. Of course we've been told in society through ads that it is healthy especially for babies and the young by the dairy companies. Lots of stuff out there. You can research it if you like.

So milk isn't healthy? I had never heard that before.

I drink it just for the calcium. The taste is pretty putrid.

I think some people are warned off calcium if their genetics are predisposed to bone growths in a later age,its like adding fuel to the fire.

You should get enough if your diet is ok, you could take a pill every few days if your lacking or grind up the bones of your enemies.

You are exactly right on the part about diet. If you have a good enough diet, you can get all the calcium and essential vitamins without drinking milk or if you are lazy just take supplements.

I had a family member that was breaking out bad with cystic acne on his face and back, then it was recommended by a dermatologist to cut out dairy products. Face cleared up, there's also a study out there that links dairy with acne, because milk and milk products are chock full of hormones that causes these breakouts. Consuming dairy product is okay if you are not lactose intolerant, but it should still be done in moderation.

I mean we are the only species that consumes another animal's milk even throughout adulthood. Even adult cattle doesn't do that. I mean does that make sense? And we are being told by the dairy companies that cow's milk which is for their calves is more healthier than a human mother's breast milk for human babies. I mean seriously if you think about it, it makes no sense.

Anyways, I would urge anyone that is interested to research the effects of dairy on the human body. Peer review scientific journals should be a good start, and definitely not the research data that are released by the dairy industry.

I am pretty lactose intolerant and have found the lactose free milk now available great. It means I can have a splash in tea and on porridge without breaking out in eczema and my breathing being laboured.
